Taking out blocks of ice from the lake Hosjön 6/2 .
In February, the home district association in Malmköping takes many ice blocks from the lake Hosjön. This can only be done when the ice on the lake are thick enough. The home district association arrange a little event around this happening to show how the people get cold ice even in the summertime.

Valborgsmässofirande on the heath with big fireworks, choirs, raffle and sausage sales etc.. One of the largest Sörmlands valborgsmässofiranden.

The Old Market (Gammaldags Marknad) 28/5,
At the last weekend of May you can experience the Old Market on the streets and on the market place of Malmköping.

At Midsummer you can visit the big Midsummer celebration at the folk museum with up to 3 000 visitors. Swedish folk musician play traditional songs and invite the visitors to dance.

At the last weekend of July every year, you will find the big event “Malma Marken” with 300-market stall, amusement park and live concerts with well-known artiste. To this event there will come up to 100 000 visitors to Malmköping.

At one weekend in August, you will find the farmers market on the market place of Malmköping.

In September, you can visit the competition in ploughing with veteran tractors at Snösvad.

At the Second Advent, you can visit the Old Christmas Market (Gammaldags Julmarknad) in Malmköping.
